Bookies Pick Their Wimbledon 2026 Favourites

Well, it’s July, the sky is blue, the sun is actually shining, strawberries are plump and juicy, and the Pimms is flowing nicely. Yes, that can only mean one thing – Wimbledon is upon us.
For tennis lovers and sports fans alike, Wimbledon is the ultimate tennis major tournament. It’s civilised, it’s always full of celebs, it promises plenty of twists and turns along the way, and most importantly of all, it promises competitive tennis played at the very highest of levels.
With Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu out of the tournament, and with defending champs Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner set to take to the grass, fans clearly have a rough idea of who to back. But what do the bookmakers think?
Take a look, as the bookies pick their Wimbledon 2026 favourites.
Men’s Favourites
Here’s who the bookies are backing to win the men’s Wimbledon championship.
Jannik Sinner
Up first, we of course have last year’s winner, and the man who, along with Alcaraz, looks set to be the face of men’s tennis for years to come.
Sinner has enjoyed an exceptional 12 months, and up until recently, he looked virtually unstoppable. His early exit in the French Open came as quite the shock, though that appears to have reignited a fire inside him. Add to that, the fact that one of his fiercest rivals, Carlos Alcaraz is out this year, and it’s likely that Djokovic will be his biggest foe.
Sinner is currently odds on favourite to win the title this year, with Ladbrokes offering 4/6 odds and Betfred providing 4/5 odds.
Novak Djokovic
He may be getting a little long in the tooth now, but you should still never count out one of the greatest tennis players in history, in the form of Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic’ accomplishments in tennis are incredibly well documented, and although his career is now winding down, there’s plenty of life left in the old dog. Djokovic has won on the grass 7 times, having reached 9 finals. This could well be his last appearance at Wimbledon, so he’ll be looking to make a statement.
Betfred currently have him at 5/1, whereas Ladbrokes are offering odds of 6/1.
Alexander Zverev
With odds of 7/1 with Ladbrokes, and 15/2 with Betfred, Alexander Zverev could be a great shout for those of you looking to back somewhat of an outsider.
Germany may be out of the World Cup, but German sports fans could still get something out of the summer, if countryman Alexander Zverev has anything to say about it. Zverev may be literally allergic to grass, but when you consider his serving power and recent form, you should never count out the 29-year-old.
Women’s Favourites
Here’s who the bookmakers believe is going to clinch the Wimbledon title out of the women.
Aryna Sabalenka
Having won 4 Grand Slam singles titles (2 in Australia and 2 in the US) Aryna Sabalenka will be looking to add arguably the most prestigious tournament of all, to her list of accomplishments.
The world No.1 may have shown her vulnerabilities on the grass, but she is still favourite to win the title. Betfred and Ladbrokes both currently have her at 10/3.
Elena Rybakina
Having previously secured victory at Wimbledon back in 2026, Elena Rybakina will be looking to capitalise on the momentum she gained from a victory at the Australian Open earlier this year.
Currently ranked world No.2, she has one of the most precise, and imposing, serves in tennis. This could prove crucial. Betfred currently have here at 6/1, whereas Bet365 are offering 5/1 odds.
Iga Swiatek
Finally, we have last year’s winner and current world No.3, Iga Swiatek.
Iga’s form may have dropped off slightly over the last year (having dropped down a ranking) but there’s a reason why she won Wimbledon last year. After a nervy, yet ultimately comfortable performance, she began her title defence with a determined victory against Taylor Townsend.
If you wish to back last year’s champ and believe Iga can go back-to-back, Ladbrokes currently have her at 15/2, whereas Betfred are providing 8/1 odds.
