March for many, not only signifies the beginning of spring, but more importantly (if you’re a horse racing fan) it signifies the start of the Cheltenham Festival.

Considered the pinnacle of horse racing action, the Cheltenham Festival takes place annually in March, at the world-famous Cheltenham racecourse. This 4-day event begins Tuesday 10^th March, before drawing to a conclusion on Friday the 13^th.

The action begins with the enormously popular Champion Hurdles, before culminating in the prestigious Cheltenham Gold Cup for the grand finale. In previous years we’ve seen some fierce rivalries and incredibly exciting races showcasing the finest horses, trainers, and owners from all over the globe.

Of course, it has been the Irish who have dominated in recent history, but with so many elite racers entering the mix this year, you never know which way the action is going to go.

Whether you’re looking to place a bet, or simply wish to know the favs, here are a few Cheltenham Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle odds.

Champion Hurdle Odds and Favs

Kicking off the action on day 1 we have the Unibet Champion Hurdle event.

Weather permitting, this 2-mile, Grade-1 hurdle race begins at 4pm on Tuesday 10^th March. Below you’ll find a few horses to watch and what kind of odds you can expect.

Brighterdaysahead

Trained by Gordon Elliot, this 7-year-old mare is coming into this event with all of the momentum behind her after a hat-trick of wins, including the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown at the start of Feb.

Renowned for her ability to adapt to a variety of different conditions, it’s easy to see why the bookies view her as a favourite on Day 1. Both BetVictor and BOYLE Sports are currently providing odds of 9/4, so she’s surely worth a punt?

Constitution Hill

Up next, we have one of British trainer Nicky Henderson’s most exciting prospects, who will be looking to make amends for a rather turbulent 2025 season.

Constitution Hill fell in the last 3 of his 4 outings, yet if conditions are right, he is more than capable of sealing at win on the hurdles.

The bookies obviously have faith as BOYLE Sports and BetVictor are both offering 7/2 odds.

The New Lion

Finally, we have Dan Skelton-trained The New Lion.

The New Lion is being heavily tipped as the next big thing in the racing world, after winning all five races he has been entered into over the course of his pro racing career. If conditions are right for him (he favours good to soft) he could very well make it 6 for 6.

Cheltenham Gold Cup Odds and Favs

With superstitious punters hoping it’s not unlucky for them, the grande finale of the Cheltenham Festival will take place on Friday 13^th March with the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Jango Baie

Another Nicky Henderson-trained horse, Jango Baie had a very impressive series of outings in 2025, including a win at the Arkle Novices’ Chase, Grade-1 at last year’s festival.

Currently, both BOYLE Sports and BetVictor have him at odds of 9/2.

The Jukebox Man

Ben Pauling’s The Jukebox Man is currently in exceptional form and has all the momentum on his side after winning his last 4 races consecutively, including the Kempton King George VI Chase back on Boxing Day last year.

Owned by Harry Redknapp, he is renowned for his jumping ability, making him one of the favs with 5/1 odds offered by both BOYLE Sports and BetVictor.

Fact to File

Finally, we have this year’s favourite (as of February, 2026), and it will come as no surprise to learn that he is indeed a Willie Mullins horse.

Placing 1^st at the Irish Gold Cup Chase – Leopardstown, as well as winning the Ryanair Chase last year, Fact to File is a confident jumper with the ability to perform well on varying grounds and testing conditions.
