Man City remain the favourites to take the newly expanded Club World Cup this summer as they remain ahead of the likes of PSG and Real Madrid in the eyes of the bookmakers.

City, who coasted through Group G with nine points out of a possible nine, have been in sparkling form since landing in the USA, firing home 13 goals in their three group games, including an emphatic 5-2 win over Italian giants Juventus.

As such City are currently 9/4 with Bet365, 5/2 with Betfred and 9/4 with https://www.betselect.co.uk/be... to take home the title.

To do so they will need to beat Saudi side Al Hilal in the last 16.

The Saudi outfit brought home the first real shock of the tournament in the group stages as they earned themselves a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in their opening game.

Despite that point being one of five that they earned in Group H, enough to see them through as runners-up, they are priced out at 80/1 to beat City, and go on and win the tournament, with Bet365, Betfred and Unibet all pricing them as such.

In fact if City do not go on and win it the next favourites with the bookmakers are current Champions League holders PSG.

The French champions did suffer a surprise defeat in the group stages, to Brazilian side Botafogo, but beat Atletico Madrid and Seattle Sounders to ease through to the next stage.

There they booked their spot in the quarter-finals thanks to an impressive 4-0 win over Inter Miami, Lionel Messi included, as PSG have started to find their form again in the competition.

That success, coupled with their Champions League win back in May, has Bet365 pricing them at 11/4 to go on and make it a summer double of big-time trophies, with Unibet also backing them at the same price.

Betfred meanwhile have them at 12/5 to go on and take the trophy.

One team that you can never count out when it comes to success is Spanish side Real Madrid.

In what is new manager Xavi Alonso's first competition as Real boss, Madrid got off to a stuttering start, thanks to the aforementioned 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal, but since then they have clicked.

Successive wins over Pachuca and Salzburg booked passage to the knockout stages where Madrid will now face Juventus.

That draw is not thought to give them too much trouble, though, as Bet365, Unibet and Betfred all have them as 5-1 to see off the Italian side and go on to take the trophy.

Another side who are still up there among the favourites for the competition, despite facing a tough tie in the knock-out stages, are Bayern Munich.

Bayern flew out of the traps in their opening game thanks to an impressive 10-0 win over Auckland City and they followed that up with a win over Boca Juniors to book a place in the knock-out stages.

There they saw Harry Kane find his shooting boots as the Englishman grabbed two goals in a 4-2 win over Flamengo, setting up a mouthwatering clash against PSG in the quarter-finals.

Even with that tie looming large, Bayern are still priced at 11/2 with Bet365 and Unibet to take the title, while Betfred have them priced at 6/1 to add to Kane's now growing trophy collection.

Another English striker who is looking to add to his trophy collection is Liam Delap and the bookmakers have him at 8/1 to do so this summer.

Delap, who joined Chelsea from Ipswich earlier in the summer, has already opened his account for the London club as they have found goals easy to come by in the States, as a 4-1 win over Benfica in the last 16, and six goals in the knock-out stages prove.

Chelsea will have to try and take down Brazilian side Palmeiras to help punters make a profit on those 8/1 odds with Bet365, Unibet and Betfred, not an easy task considering the bookmakers currently have the Brazilian side ranked as the most likely non-European side to take home the trophy this summer.

They are priced at 20/1 by Bet365, Unibet and Betfred, ahead of the likes of Borussia Dortmund (33/1) and Juventus (50/1) to have success this summer.
