The Premier League is back once again and for fans up and down the country is the start of a journey and for many it might be as good as it gets in terms of the season as a whole.
That might be depressing but for some fans the Premier League season will be more of a feat of endurance than anything else as 38 games can be made to feel like a long time.

Bookmakers Odds

The bookmakers are in agreement that the three recently promoted teams might have supporters who feel that way this year.
The last two years has seen the three promoted teams from the Championship relegated at the first attempt in the Premier League and Burnley, Sunderland and Leeds are all expected to have tough years as well.
In-fact the three are among the favourites for relegation by the bookmakers this season as they only Wolves and Brentford are even close to them in the odds so far.
For Scott Parker and Burnley it seems to be a case of when and not if they go down, as Bet365 and Ladbrokes have them as 1/3 on while BetVictor have them at 4/11.
The departure of James Trafford in goal has not helped their cause, while the signing of Kyle Walker in defence has not moved the markets much the other way.
Meanwhile fellow promoted team Sunderland are at 2/5 to go straight back down with Bet365, while Ladbrokes and BetVictor have them at 4/11.

Leeds are the other newly promoted side who are expected to face a tough season this season and they are currently 11/10 with BetVictor and 6/5 with Ladbrokes to go down, while BetVictor have them at evens.
That is because the three of them face an uphill task to stay in the Premier League this season.
Last year Manchester United and Tottenham were among those fighting in the bottom six, and both of those teams made it all the way to the Europa League final.
The strength in depth throughout the league makes it hard for newly promoted teams to survive, even if some of those Premier League teams from last year are expected to take a step back or two this season.
One of them is Brentford.
Brentford have lost their manager and star striker so far this summer and are tipped for further departures before the end of the transfer window also.
They are 3/1 with Bet365 to bring an end to their stay in the Premier League this season, while Ladbrokes have them at 3/1 and BetVictor have them at 11/4.
Another team who may struggle is Wolves.
Like Brentford, Wolves have seen a striker leave the club this summer, and like Brentford they saw him go to Manchester United.
Wolves are currently 3/1 with Bet365 to go down this year while they are 6/5 with Ladbrokes and even with BetVictor.
West Ham are at 5/1 with Bet365 and Everton are at 15/2 with Ladbrokes, but the bookies are confident that aside from the newly promoted sides and Brentford and Wolves, the rest of the Premier League should be safe to fight another day after the 2025/26 season is done.
